Individuals with disabilities who require accommodations for special services should contact the IHCC Disability Services office for assistance. Services are available to students who need classroom accommodations, interpreters and/or specialized equipment.
Students who are requesting accommodations must document their disability by providing a written statement signed by a school counselor, physician, psychologist or other health care professional. Statements must include: (a) a description of the disability, (b) a statement of how the disability prohibits one or more major life activities and is a barrier to the student’s full participation in the program, and (c) a description of the specific accommodations to be provided. (Requested accommodations must be related to the individual’s specific disability.)
All requests for accommodations should be made prior to enrollment.
Students should make their requests for accommodations to the Disability Services office at the time they are applying for admission and, preferably, no later than six weeks prior to the beginning of each academic term. Program Learning Outcomes

Required Personal Tools
The TERET.AAS program requires that each student buy his/her own required tools. Students should inventory their tool boxes after each use to make sure that all tools are accounted. Tool boxes should then be locked and secured between labs or when not in use. All students should be aware that IHCC is not responsible for any tools or tool boxes that are lost, stolen or damaged in any way. All tools and tool boxes must be removed from school property no later than one term after graduation or withdrawal from the program. Any tools or tool boxes left after that time period will be considered abandoned by the student and dealt with accordingly.
A list of tools required for each term is available upon request from your Educator. A typical tool list is provided in this handbook (subject to change).
Specific tool list per term are available upon request, from the IHCC-Electrical & Renewable Energy Program. The program requires all tools to meet minimum industry safety standards, all tools representative on this list have been tested to meet all safety standards and requirements. The tools listed are not required the first day of classes, but are obtained during the various terms of the program. The instructor will detail which tools are needed for each term.

Personal Protective Equipment
All students are required to own a minimum amount of personal protective equipment and this equipment is available through the bookstore. A complete list of personal protective equipment required will be supplied as a supplement to this handbook and is also available at any time upon request.

The program requires a laptop that meets the minimum standards to operate the programs utilized by the Electrical & Renewable Energy Technology Program. The specifications are updated each year and available on the program website. A typical entry-level laptop will meet the requirements, typically less $800 in cost. Laptop requirements are as follows: Windows 10 (64 Bit only), 300GB Hard drive (minimum), 8GB Memory, and 1 GHZ Processor (Minimum)
