BIO 122 - General Biology IIID

This course is a study of animal form and function and answers the question, “What is an animal?” Lecture topics include: animal nutrition, circulation and gas exchange, the body’s defenses, regulation of internal environment, chemical signals, reproduction, development, nervous systems and sensory and motor mechanisms. Laboratory includes a survey of the animal kingdom and dissection of a fetal pig. This is a “majors-level” biology course and is part of the majors biology series. This course has three hours of lecture and two hours of laboratory per week.
