Sports Medicine

Sports Medicine transfer program is your path toward a career in sports medicine as a physical therapist, athletic trainer, physical therapist assistant, recreational therapist, personal trainer or orthopedist.  Graduates will be prepared to transfer to a four-year college or university and pursue the Sports Medicine program of their choice or they can complete a Physical Therapist Assistant AAS degree at Indian Hills.

Program Learning Outcomes

  1. Demonstrate knowledge in sports medicine and an understanding in the areas of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics.
  2. Apply the scientific method in order to understand, evaluate, and/or solve problems in sports medicine.
  3. Use critical thinking, information literacy, oral and written communication, and quantitative reasoning skills in analyzing problems.
