To provide a program of computed tomography for registered radiologic technologists that builds on previous educational experiences and affords the student the opportunity to acquire attitudes, knowledge and skills necessary to become effective members of the health care team and serve the health needs of society.
This is an Advanced Standing certificate program for a Registered Radiologic Technologist or a graduate from an accredited radiography program that completes their boards within the first term of the CT Certificate Program.
Program Learning Outcomes
- Identify cross-sectional anatomy in the head and the neck.
- Describe the relationship of the head and neck structures to its surrounding structures.
- Evaluate pathology in the head and neck.
- Identify cross-sectional anatomy in the thorax.
- Describe the relationship of the thorax structures to its surrounding structures.
- Evaluate pathology in the thorax.
- Identify cross-sectional anatomy in the abdomen and pelvis.
- Describe the relationship of the abdomen and pelvis structures to its surrounding structures.
- Evaluate pathology in the abdomen and pelvis.
- Identify cross-sectional anatomy in the upper and lower extremities, including joints.
- Describe the relationship of the upper and lower extremities structures to its surrounding structures.
- Evaluate pathology in the upper and lower extremities, including joints.
