Offered on Centerville CampusThe Animal Science program is designed to give students the skills and knowledge necessary to start or further develop an agricultural business, and/or work in an animal science related field. During the course of this program students will be exposed to strategies designed for profitability for the farmer, environmental protection, and animal husbandry. Program Learning Outcomes- Develop students’ knowledge of animal science.
- Develop students’ skill in implementation of animal husbandry.
- Define basic agricultural terminology.
- Develop a sustainable breeding program.
- Develop a sustainable nutrition program.
- Analyze Expected Progeny Differences (EPD) for their value to the animal enterprise.
- Evaluate the quality of feedstuffs.
