Agriculture-Agronomy A.A.S

The Agriculture- Agronomy A.A.S. program is designed to give students the skills and knowledge necessary to start or further develop an agricultural business, and/or work in an agronomy, horticulture, or precision agriculture related field. During the course of this program students will be exposed to strategies through classroom theory, simulation, and working production labs.  These strategies are designed to provide profitability, environmental protection, and integration of technology into all aspects of the diverse field of plant science. 

Program Learning Outcomes

  1. Develop students knowledge of plant systems.
  2. Develop students skills in implementation of precision technology.
  3. Demonstrate equipment safety and utilization.
  4. Develop skills in the use of fertilizers and pesticides for positive environmental impact.
  5. Develop a sustainable ag business plan.
  6. Analyze precision technologies for their value to various agriculture related operations.
  7. Evaluate marketability of commodities based on quality, aesthetics, and performance.
